Chess and Nick spent the morning of their New Year’s Eve wedding getting ready separately at The Hoxton Holborn before taking black cabs across London to get married at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
The evening before the wedding, the three of us had wandered through Bloomsbury together at blue hour for an engagement shoot, chatting and looking through bookshop windows along the way. With all the last-minute details finally coming together, it gave them a chance to properly slow down and have a moment together before the wedding day arrived.

The couple got married surrounded by their loved ones in the Westminster Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall before a vintage London bus took everyone to Bloomsbury Square for a few group photos. The whole day was photographed on a mix of digital and 35mm film, which suited the nostalgic feeling the couple wanted the celebration to have perfectly.

Back at The Hoxton, guests were welcomed with cocktails and canapés before sitting down for dinner and an emotional round of speeches. The couple wanted to embrace the feel of 1970s Hollywood glamour for the reception, with candlelight, drinks flowing in the bar, late night pizza and everyone dancing together right through to the New Year countdown. It was a day that felt relaxed and full of feeling, with the people around them at the centre of it all.
